Stephane Bruzaud is Full Professor at the University of South Brittany (UBS) located in Lorient (France). He was graduated as MSc from Chemistry Department at University of Bordeaux. He received his Ph.D. degree in 1995 from the same university. His current research focuses on the development of biobased and/or biodegradable polymers, from their production to their end of life. He leads a research group specializing in biopolymer engineering. This involves implementing virtuous approaches for the elaboration (through biotechnological processes using classical biobased carbon substrates or wastes derived from agroindustrial by-products, for example) and the formulation (blending with other biopolymers and/or incorporation of natural fillers) of bioplastics, as well as studying their (bio)degradation. Stéphane Bruzaud is involved in numerous academic and industrial collaborations, with contracts funded by Europe, ANR, the French Minister of Environment, CNRS, ADEME, Brittany region, TASSILI and industrial partners. He has supervised 22 Ph.D. students and authored over 120 papers in peer reviewed journals and 07 book chapters.

Marc Poncot, a European materials engineer graduated from EEIGM, obtained his PhD in 2009 from the Institute national polytechnique de Lorraine as part of an ANRT CIFRE grant with AcelorMittal on the development and characterization of metal/polymer composites for the automotive sector. In 2011, he was appointed Associate Professor at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Mines de Nancy, University of Lorraine. He heads the "Biomaterials Engineering" program within the Materials Science and Engineering Department at the Ecole des Mines de Nancy. In 2019, he obtained his accreditation to supervise research (HDR). He conducts his research activities at the Jean Lamour Institute within the "Physics, Mechanics and Plasticity of Polymers and Composites" team, which he heads, as part of the study of the relationships between processing, microstructure and properties.

Prof. Hanshen Li received his B.S.E. degree in Electric Power Engineering and Automation from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), Shanghai, China, in 2016. He earned his M.E. degree in Information, Production, and Systems Engineering from Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan, in 2017, and another M.E. degree in Electrical Engineering from SJTU in 2019. He completed his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at North China Electric Power University (NCEPU), Beijing, China, in 2023. Since 2023, Prof. Li has been a researcher at the China Electric Power Planning and Engineering Institute (EPPEI). His research interests include the planning and operation of active distribution networks. Prof. Li has published over 50 papers with more than 200 citations. Fouad Damiri is a Professor of Organic Chemistry and Polymer Science at Hassan II University of Casablanca, Morocco. He also completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB), Belgium, where he further developed his expertise in advanced polymeric materials and biomaterials research. His research focuses on the synthesis, characterization, and application of biohydrogels, polysaccharide-based materials, and functional polymer networks for biomedical, pharmaceutical, and environmental applications. His work includes drug delivery systems, tissue engineering scaffolds, and sustainable polymeric materials. Professor Damiri has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed scientific publications and actively contributes to international conferences and collaborative research projects in the field of biomaterials and hydrogel technologies.

Magnus S. Magnusson, Ph.D., Emeritus Research Professor, founder and director of the Human Behavior Laboratory (hbl.hi.is), University of Iceland. Author of the T-pattern, T-string, and T-system model and the corresponding detection algorithms and software THEMETM (PatternVision.com), initially focusing on the real-time organization of behavior. Andrea Vittadello coordinates the group of Project Managers in our Packaging Science Center and is himself Project Manager for the "Sustainability" area. He has been part of this laboratory since 2002 and has been involved almost immediately in biodegradability studies. He is a member of the European Bioplastics Technical Committee and the BPI . He is also currently of CEN, ISO working groups from compostability/biodegradability, recyclability and Food contact and part of the AD HOC CEN WG for the requirements for PPWR.

Marcilio Florentin Guimaraes (born on March 16, 1981) is a chemist, plastics technician, and industrial production technologist, with a postgraduate specialization in Polymeric Materials. He has extensive experience in product development, quality control, technical assistance, production, and industrial processes. His professional career has been guided by innovation and sustainability, with a particular focus on the formulation and improvement of PVC compounds. Throughout his career, Marcilio has been committed to demystifying the use of PVC, promoting a technical and scientific understanding of its responsible and sustainable applications. He advocates for a balanced and evidence-based perspective on polymers, aiming to align industrial performance with environmental awareness. Although he does not have full fluency in English, he prefers to deliver his presentations in Portuguese to ensure clarity and precision of technical communication. He is currently seeking a partner or institution to support his participation in international events and to share in the promotion of sustainable solutions for the plastics industry.

Dr. Clara Casado Coterillo is an Associate Research Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Cantabria (Spain). She obtained her degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cantabria in 2000 and completed part of her studies at Ghent University (Belgium) through the Erasmus programme. She earned her PhD in Chemical Engineering in 2005 with European Mention, focusing on membrane-based separation processes. Her research career includes international postdoctoral appointments in France, Japan, and the Netherlands, where she worked on membrane technology for gas separation, pervaporation, and high-temperature applications. Prof. Badis Bendjemil is a Professor at the Institute of Metallurgy and Materials, University of Annaba, Algeria. Since 1989, he has conducted pioneering research on resistance welding, combustion synthesis (SHS, thermal explosion), and spark plasma sintering (FAST-SPS). He earned his Ph.D. in Solid State Physics (Surface–Interface–Spectroscopy) through a joint program between the University of Annaba and the IFW Dresden, Germany, supported by a DAAD fellowship. His work includes electronic structure calculations using FPLO codes, synthesis of metallic glasses and nanocomposites, and advanced plasma processes for carbon nanostructures. Prof. Bendjemil has collaborated with leading European laboratories, including LIMPH (France), UNITO and INRIM (Italy), and LPMIA Nancy (France), contributing extensively to materials science, nanotechnology, and plasma physics research.

Luiza Araujo Abou-Rejaili is a chemical engineer from the Federal University of Paraná, currently working as a trainee process engineer at Valmet and pursuing an MBA in Project Management at USP/Esalq. She previously served as a process analyst at Renault Group, where she planned vehicle testing projects using MS Project. Luiza has strong experience in engineering project planning and execution, with fluency in English and intermediate proficiency in French. Her Job Rotation project at Renault do Brasil was recognized among the top 10 of the year. She has also worked as a project consultant and people & management advisor at the Junior Chemical Engineering Company of UFPR, gaining skills in agile management and Scrum. Additionally, she conducted scientific research as a CNPq scholarship student at the Polymer Materials Laboratory.

Abdelkarim Belasri is a PhD researcher at the College of Chemical Sciences and Engineering (CCSE), Institute of Science, Technology and Innovation (IST&I), Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), Morocco. His research focuses on the design and functionalization of biopolymer based materials, particularly cellulose, starch, and chitosan, for sustainable water treatment applications. His work involves chemical functionalization strategies, porous and foam-based materials, nanofibers obtained via electrospinning, and visible light active photocatalysts for the removal of dyes and heavy metals from wastewater. His research contributes to the development of eco-friendly solutions for environmental remediation.

Nathan Jourdainne is a second-year Ph.D. student in polymer chemistry at the Nice Institute of Chemistry, France (ICN/CNRS UMR7272) within the ANR ECO2R project. His research focuses on the eco-design of recycling and reuse chains for bio-based and biodegradable plastics, aiming to improve the recyclability and stability of biopolymers. He lectures in the Chemistry Department at Université Côte d’Azur, teaching chemometrics, thermodynamics, kinetics, polymer chemistry, and thermal analysis. In the past year, he has co-authored three peer-reviewed scientific papers and presented his work at multiple international conferences, including EPF, GFP, and ChemBioTIC. Nathan was the French winner of the BISC-E Challenge, promoting innovation in biosourced polymers, and he actively participates in European collaborations through his involvement in three COST Actions (CA21126-e, CA22107-e, and CA22154-e). He also serves as a project officer for Horizon Europe and holds a diploma in Deeptech Entrepreneurship, reflecting his strong engagement at the intersection of science, innovation, and project management. Before his Ph.D., Nathan worked as a research engineer at i3S (Porto, Portugal) and at the Polymers Biopolymers Surfaces laboratory (CNRS, Rouen, France), focusing on antibacterial polymer surfaces. He also conducted research at Karlstad University (Sweden) on adsorption isotherms. Nathan holds a Master’s degree in Chemistry and Management from the University of Rouen and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Karlstad University.
